Whether you just started your public service career or you are close to retirement, PERA’s educational programs will give you valuable information about your pension plan. PERA currently offers live webinars for our Ready to Retire and From Hire to Retire programs. They also offer individual phone counseling.

Health Care Savings Plan (HCSP)
The HCSP is managed by the Minnesota State Retirement System (MSRS). Benefit eligible employees will make tax-free contributions towards their individual HCSP during employment through payroll deductions. Once you end employment with the City of Eagan, you are able to access the funds in your HCSP for reimbursement of eligible health care expenses for you, your spouse, legal dependents, and adult children up to age 26.

Continuing Your Benefits
Upon leaving the City of Eagan, benefit eligible employees are able to continue coverage for medical, dental, life and flexible spending through our third party administrator, HR Simplified.
Human Resources will submit your current benefit elections to HR Simplified to administer benefits you elect to continue after leaving the City of Eagan. Once HR Simplified receives your information, they will mail an election packet to your home. You will be required to complete and submit applicable paperwork within a specified period of time.
