Eligibility

As a new hire, you are eligible for benefits on the first of the month following, or coincident with, your date of hire. You must complete the enrollment process within 30 days of becoming eligible — even if you want to decline coverage.

Enrolling with a Benefit Advocate

Choosing your benefits is an important decision, so we provide a premium enrollment experience to help you understand your options and feel confident in your choices. Our team of Benefit Advocates has one goal – to make sure our employees are set up for success with their benefits. All you need to do is schedule an appointment, video or by telephone, and you will receive a link or phone call at your selected time. (We do recommend video sessions so you can view the enrollment screens.) Your Benefit Advocate will explain your options, answer your questions, and help you choose the plans that are right for your individual situation. Please allow 45 minutes for your appointment.

How to Prepare for Your Enrollment Session

We want you to have the best experience possible. Follow these steps to get the most out of your time with a Benefit Advocate:

1. Review Your Options: Explore NorthStar’s benefits portal at ajg.com/northstar to learn about the benefits available to you . Make a note of any questions you’d like to ask during your enrollment session.
2. Gather Info: Gather all necessary information needed to enroll any covered dependents and/or beneficiaries. You will need the following information for all dependents and beneficiaries:

• Date of Birth
• Social Security Number

 

Enroll through Self-Service

We encourage all employees to schedule an enrollment session with a Benefit Advocate. However, you do have the option to complete your enrollment online.  Log in to workforcenow.adp.com to enroll in your medical, dental, vision, health savings and/or flexible spending accounts, and voluntary short term disability plans.

Enter your log-in credentials or, if you haven’t set up your account, click the “Sign-up” button.

• Go to Myself > Benefits>Enrollments.  Click Enroll Now.

To enroll in voluntary benefits, go to GallaghervChoiceEnroll.com and login using your PIN:

• Your PIN is the last 4 digits of your Social Security number followed by your two-digit date of birth
