Aetna Resources for Living EAP is a confidential counseling and referral program that offers a full range of services to assist with everyday issues.

  • A starting place for addressing personal problems and life challenges

  • An avenue of assistance for managers and employees whose personal problems may be affecting their work performance

Additional Support for First Responders

Responder Health is an enhanced Employee Assistance Program designed by first responders for first responders and their family members!  They provide crisis support with phone lines staffed primarily by retired public safety professionals.

  • 24/7 access for first responders and their families, including employees of: 
    • Hanover County Sheriff's Office
    • Pamunkey Regional Jail
    • Hanover County Animal Control
    • Hanover County Public Safety Emergency Communications

  • Completely confidential 
  • Guidance and support to connect with a fully-vetted counselor trained to treat First Responders
  • Support and coordination to get a fully-vetted inpatient treatment center trained to treat First Responders

  • Up to 8 hours of online training hours per person per year, with several courses eligible for continuing education
  • Bimonthly virtual peer support trainings and Q&A sessions
