Voluntary Benefits
Township High School District 214 offers additional voluntary coverages to help you be prepared for covered events when they happen.
- Accident Insurance pays benefits for specific, covered accidents and injuries that happen on or after your coverage effective date.
- Critical Illness Insurance pays a lump-sum benefit if you are diagnosed with a covered illness or condition that happens on or after your coverage effective date.
- Hospital Indemnity - pays a daily benefit if you have a covered hospital stay. This fixed indemnity policy may pay you a limited dollar amount if you’re sick or hospitalized. You’re still responsible for paying the cost of your care. Important: This is a fixed indemnity policy, NOT health insurance

This plan also includes a wellness benefit that provides you with an annual benefit payment if you complete a covered health screening test on or after your coverage effective date. You may also receive a benefit payment for your spouse and/or children if they are covered and complete a health screening test on or after your coverage effective date.
