What's it's for: The nurse's role is not to diagnose a condition, but to help determine if you need immediate care, can wait for a next-day doctor appointment, or can be treated at home.
Retail Clinics
Cost: Generally, the same as a doctor visit
Availability: Typically, 7 days a week, hours vary
What is it: Located in stores, supermarkets, and pharmacies, retail clinics are staffed with nurse practitioners who can treat minor illnesses and prescribe some medications. Find the nearest in-network clinic with Premera's mobile app
What it's for: Uncomplicated illness, such as cold, flu, pink eye, and sore throat.
98Point6 – Text Based Virtual Care
Cost: Generally, the same as a doctor visit
Availability: 24/7 Access
What is it: 98point6 is a new kind of on-demand primary care delivered through a highly secure in-app messaging experience on your mobile phone. With 98point6, U.S-based, board-certified physicians answer questions, diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, outline care options and order any necessary prescriptions or lab tests. 98point6 can also help you better understand any primary care conditions.
Omada – Virtual Physical Therapy Provider
Cost: there are a maximum of 3 co-pays charged for the program and each charge will count as 1 physical therapy visit toward the outpatient rehabilitation visit limit.

What is it: Omada is a virtual physical therapy provider that is accessed by the member through a mobile app. With Omada, you will receive an individualized care plan built around your schedule with continuous support from a physical therapist. During an initial video consultation, members will be evaluated if the Omada recovery program is appropriate for their care. Members will be sent the equipment needed to complete their treatment program.

What is it: Livongo offers chronic condition support for managing diabetes & hypertension for you and your family members that are covered under your Premera health plan. Diabetes: You’ll get unlimited test strips and lancets, ordered online or directly through your meter and shipped right to your door. Members are provided with an advanced cellular-chip meter that automatically uploads readings, provides real-time tips, eliminates logbooks by sharing data directly with doctors and notifies your family if a reading is out of range. Hypertension: Monitoring your blood pressure is easy with unlimited, live, one-on-one coaching. Members are provided a cellular-connected blood pressure monitor. Through the connected app, members can get high-blood-pressure alerts and access real-time insights and interpret trends. Diabetes Prevention: This is a 12-month digital program where members are led by expert coaches on how to make everyday changes to their current lifestyle behaviors and work toward reducing their risk of diabetes long-term. The program includes a mobile app and cellular scale that logs and tracks results, provides community support and 5-day challenges to promote long-term lifestyle changes.

What it is: A video or phone-based consultation with a board-certified doctor or licensed psychologist. It’s easiest to set up your account by downloading the Doctor on Demand mobile app, so it's ready before you need care. What it's for: Diagnosing and treating common illnesses, such as sinus problems, urinary tract infection, pink eye, bronchitis, upper respiratory infection, nasal congestion, allergies, flu, skin infections and rash as well as behavioral health visits. They can even prescribe certain drugs if necessary.

Online Visit
For common health issues, get an online treatment plan and a prescription from Kaiser Permanente medical offices or mail order pharmacy (if needed).

Get care for minor injuries and illnesses at walk-in CareClinics inside several Bartell Drugs locations in the Puget Sound area. You'll see a Kaiser Permanente physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
