Starting on September 1, 2024, we will be partnering with Blue Cross® Blue Shield® Arizona (BCBSAZ) to bring a new health and well-being experience to you. Through BCBSAZ, you will have access to their new award-winning digital health and wellness solution, Sharecare, to track activities for our wellness program and be eligible to earn $100 in wellness incentives.
Through Sharecare, you will have access to a health and wellness experience personalized to your specific needs. On September 1, 2024, we encourage you to create an account on the Sharecare portal ( www.azblue.share.com ) to start earning points and take advantage of:
- The RealAge® Test—calculating your body’s true age is your first step toward improving your health and growing younger. Earn $25 for completing the RealAge Test.
- A timeline (on your Sharecare home screen) that becomes more personalized the more you use it. When you choose health topics that are important to you, those topics will appear more often in your timeline.
- Preventive care can help identify health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes or certain cancers earlier, when they're most treatable. Earn up to $50 when you complete your Annual Wellness exam or preventative care exams.
- Have fun participating in a wellness challenge that focuses on one or more key health factors to keep you motivated. Earn $25 for each Challenge completed.
Sharecare Wellness Activation Rewards overview
- To unlock your rewards, you must complete the RealAge Test.
- If you register on your computer, you can always go to the app store on their smart phone to download the Sharecare app. After downloading the app, go to login (via your phone), the system will recognize that you are participating in the Douglas Sharecare program. Sharecare will ‘cross-walk’ to the Douglas program.
- Downloading the app to your phone has advantages; for the upcoming Steps challenge for example, you can sync your wearables (Fitbit, smart watch) to the app and not have to manually enter steps. Instructions to sync your devise are in the app.
- The Steps Challenge is not just steps. You can convert a slew of activities to steps. For example, bowling, gardening, household chores, can be converted. There is a tool in the challenge page.
